What do you get when you mix a Barbie doll and a 5MPX camera? A new Barbie from Mattel: the Barbie Photo Fashion Doll!

Even toy dolls can’t escape the rapid expansion of technology. This week at the Toy Fair in New York, Mattel unveiled its latest Barbie doll that comes with a screen in its stomach and a 5 megapixel camera. It can store about 100 images and has a USB port for connecting to your computer. It costs $50 and will be in retail stores by August 2012. But that’s not all.

Cardboard flashdrives will change the landscape of portable media!  Art Lebedev has designed a disposable USB drive made from cardboard. Flashkus sticks come in sets of four, divided by perforations. 

Double Headed USB is all the rage!  Kidding… sorta!  At SheBytes, we enjoy playing with our technology.  Our like minded friends at Gizmodo know how to have ample fun with their technology as well.

I have no idea what Maxell had in mind when they came up with these AromaDrives, a line of scented flash memory sticks.  Not quite Glade Plugins for your computer, these puppies are good old fashioned USB drives covered in scented plastic.  They even have a little hole in the packaging so you can Scratch n’ Sniff. 

Imagine running Windows 7 on an iPad… sounds cool?  It’s real!  Cloud Desktops make it possible.  A Virtual Cloud Desktop is a personal, centralized computer located in the Cloud. Using any Internet connected device or thin client (i.e. an iPad), you can access your desktop from anywhere in the world.

Today I am going to share my glowing review of the Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard.  Let me first start with a little background.

If you’re anything like me, you probably have a hard time keeping your plants alive. I have a money tree, lovingly named Homey; it’s a surprise he’s survived nearly 4 years under my care.  Maybe it’s that I choose plants ill-suited for my home or perhaps I just don’t know the proper amount of light or water they require?  Whatever the case, now there’s advanced technology for your plants! Sometimes while I venture around Manhattan between meetings, I occasion Brookstone to play with their latest gadgets.  I often joke that if reincarnation is true, then in my previous life I must have been a spy; so it should come as no surpise that on my recent visit to Brookstone, I found myself instanly in love with this awesome Video Spy Pen. 

A major gripe of non-adopters of the iPad is its virtual keyboard.  Although it works great and with little practice, you can type equally as fast on it, some people simply prefer physical buttons to press. Logitech and ZAGG had an answer in mind when they teamed up to create this thin, eye-catching keyboard case.
