iOS 5 is here!

After months of anticipation, Apple has revealed the features of its fresh and revamped iOS 5. Since the iOS 5 was first announced at June’s WWDC, we have been ticking down the days of the calendar, but at last it has arrived!

10am Pacific time thousands rushed to their freshly updated iTunes 10.5 to download the new software update. The update brought us over 200 new features; we will highlight a couple of the most exciting ones for you today!

We know you LOVE your iPhone. But, can someone have an iPhone love addiction, like…literally?

With the up-and-down week for Apple; iPhone 4S and Steve Jobs passing away, SheBytes thought it would be nice to have a more, shall we say; light piece on Apple.

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs is dead; the news, which broke late yesterday evening, has left me deeply saddened.

We wrote about Steve Job’s resignation in late August, when he wrote “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.” Steve has been battling cancer for many years; we knew he wasn’t well, but we had no idea his tragic end would come so soon.  His death came just a day after the first Apple release without him; the October 4th announcement of the iPhone 4S.

After a long awaited iPhone 5, Apple unveils the iPhone 4S instead. I’ve speculated about the iPhone 5 quite a bit; not only the iPhone 5 release date, but also on iPhone 5 Mockups, and even iPhone NFC technology.  So I was somewhat surprised when it was announced yesterday that it was the iPhone 4S to be released (much to my chagrin!).

While SheBytes has been tracking and hoping for the iPhone 5 for some time now, we’ve got some great news:
