This past week I listened to a presentation for young professional (20s and 30s) from one of the largest asset management firms in the world. The objective, which is of course to educate the audience, is also meant to help the firm snatch up talent and future wealth management clientele while those prospects are still spring chickens. Although I found the information presented to be generally useful and relevant to the respective audience, I couldn’t help but take a devils-advocate view on —well— just about everything. The Starbucks Mobile App replaces card payment!  Everyone’s got their favorite coffee. Whether you’re a Dunkin’ Donuts’ lover, a sucker for MUD or if you’re an Oren’s Daily Roast regular, you take your coffee seriously and are devout to one company’s “Joe”.

That being said, Starbucks promises to give coffee purchaser’s such an edge, I guarantee all of you non-believers give them another shot. This has nothing to do with writing the names on the cups, the actual flavor of the stuff or even more ridiculously named cup sizes.
