If you like deal hunting, CraigsPro+, is the best app for you and it can be purchased right here, for only $1.99!

Are you the type of person who only buys things when they’re on sale? Do you enjoy frequent hondeling? Do you savor the hunt more than the results?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, (and lets be honest, who doesn’t relish a good bargain?), then you must get CraigsPro +.

Google will acquire Motorola Mobility!  There’s been a huge amount of internet activity surrounding the announcement on Monday.

Our friends at Engadget did a great post on the breaking news; which we borrowed the above picture from, but I would like to expand on the acquisition further.

Once in a blue moon, we have that subtle moment of revelation…

All the time; a multitude of ideas are flowing around us and right through us, but how rare is the occasion where we are able to hold that instant long enough to bring it out.

One man who certainly had the ability to hold onto that moment was Jim Henson. Henson is probably the world’s most famous puppeteer.

“Today’s Video Byte” is going to be a little different. Although it may seem regular, in that it begins with a video clip, this video in particular requires ample explanation and interpretation, so here we go:

Facebook is notorious for having really crappy “Privacy” settings…

There, I said it!

Every once in a while, someone comes up with an idea that allows us to kill a TREMENDOUS amount of time.

When my Dad was a kid, back in the late 60’s and early 70’s (sorry for that Dad), they had comic books and GI JOE’s. Today, for better or worse, we’ve made our way from the “life-like hair” of the GI JOE, and “Captain America’s shield” to FarmVille and Twitter feeds.

But my own time waster of choice is StumbleUpon.

We’re all accustomed to the wild world of drugs, which we are embedded in.

There are hard drugs like heroin and crystal meth, that are…well, how should I put this; pretty intense.

There are other drugs, notorious for being championed by its users’ as completely innocent and harmless, such as marijuana.

And there are even drugs that are hardly called “drugs”, in the derogatory sense, because of their mild affects, when used in proper measure, such as alcohol (which yes, is still a drug).

The best app for taking notes is Evernote: an app that not only got inducted into the Apple “App Hall of Fame” (something I didn’t even know existed), but is also free!

Evernote can be downloaded here, for free and turns your device “into an extension of your brain.” Use Evernote not only with your Apple devices, but also with Android, Android Tablet, Windows Phone 7, BlackBerry and Palm devices.

A ‘what is’ guide to PaaS:  Platform as a Service is a development platform for application developers.  PaaS providers, like Google Aps Engine, allow the developer to write their own code and the PaaS provider uploads that code and presents it on the web.

Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Cupcake… Google?  If you’re a techie or a foodie, you’re sure to like this one!

It’s clear that the world’s tech companies have extremely brilliant and wildly creative employees. By creating an open, different and inviting environment, these tech goliaths are able to snag countless beautiful minds.

Much of this originality and individuality goes into the initial brainstorming, research and development of the companies output.

Thankfully though, it always seems that these tech companies get most creative and fun, when the time comes to name their products and services.

Although the video above does a near perfect job of displaying the Word Lens app in action, by the creative Quest Visual, there are a few things I’ve noticed the team still needs to work on:

  • A serious setback is the sole ability to work with English and Spanish
  • It costs a hefty $9.99 for each; the English to Spanish and the Spanish to English “Word Lenses”

Despite that, it’s clearly innovative and what I hope is a precursor of even greater things!
