In one short week, Spotify has forever altered the way I listen to music on my computer.

For those of you who don’t know me personally, I LOVE music!

Now that was a gross understatement. I play guitar, bass guitar and I have a growing CD and Vinyl music collection (I just love physically owning the music I like). I listen to everything from Run-DMC to The Brian Jonestown Massacre. I like all genres; Jazz, Hip-Hop, Classic Rock, Indie, R&B, Alternative, Soul, Punk, Funk and well yeah, you get the idea.

This all brings me to my next point: Spotify.

The Kindle Fire has completely altered the way we have come to think of Amazon.

Traditionally a service provider, Amazon has become increasingly big and profitable, because it was able to get into online product sales early. Amazon has been able to boil the business down to make sure that they offer extremely competitive pricing, shipping options and a huge range of products.

LEGO for Girls? The soon to come LEGO Friends, is determined to challenge all preconceptions we have about what qualifies as a ‘boy’s toy’ and a ‘girl’s toy’.

Personally, I’ve always viewed the build it yourself, LEGO (@LEGO_Group) and K’nex type toys, as the much more male oriented ‘boy’s toys’. Maybe this was because they were only available in sets like the Bionicle’s, that were a little more, shall we say, dark and manly.

On the other side of the spectrum, call me sexist but as a child, I had no predilection to play with dolls. I didn’t find things like American Girl dolls to be fun or attractive, which was also probably because the lines available to me were unappealing simply in that they were intended for girls.

Fox Business News (foxbusiness.com) feature (@FoxBusiness)

SheBytes and Madison Technology were featured today on the homepage of Fox Business News in an article titled: Cloud à la Carte: 6 Ways to Order Off the Cloud.  In the article, I address the misconception that cloud computing is a one-size-fits-all service that’s more aptly suited to Fortune 500s with big IT budgets as compared to smaller shops with limited means. There are a smorgasbord of cloud options for businesses of any size and budget who want to capitalize on cloud services in their own unique way. Cloud doesn’t refer to one large umbrella service, it can be sliced up into smaller pieces to fit any business.

Dieting is hard but Autom makes it easier.

Almost everyone has at one time or another been on a diet, and the majority of you will agree it’s not easy. The fact is, no one likes being forced to adhere to a strict dieting regiment, a precise food plan or exercise routine when its time consuming, more expensive and really hard on a person’s willpower. Because of these factors, most diet attempts are doomed to fail, or get pushed off indefinitely.
