Product measurements matter!

SheBytes is uber-involved when it comes to female technology and product studies. What has become evident to numerous companies, like Bang and Olufsen because of previously failed attempts to break through to the female market, by companies like Lego, is is that women don’t only care about making things pink. A TechCrunch article titled “Ladies Love Cool Gadgets Too, Says Study”, has a couple of great stats that are making waves on the Internet, but chief among them is the one enumerated below:

I’m enamored with apps that are as elegant and as crucial as EasyBib!

Being that I’m a college student myself (I’m currently a Junior at NYU), I can relate firsthand that I don’t really mind writing lengthy research papers, midterms or even finals.

The absolute worst part of college for me is the sheer annoying factor that writing bibliographies always has!

It seems that everywhere I look, there is a widening disparity between male and female entrepreneurs, most notably in the tech sector.

Whether this difference comes down to what toys we grow up playing with, or just the ways in which men and women approach technology, I am always struck when I see something which exhibits that in fact the gender gap is closing.

The quote above, is one of my personal favorites from a late great; Bertrand Russell. Russell was a famous British philosopher and he was chock full of snippets of brilliance. I particularly like the one above on fools and wise men, and thought I would share it with you to keep you engaged and your brain working (even on the weekend), because of the two ways I see this insight can be applied.
