The Internet is awash with job offers; all you have to do is check your spam folder –you’ll find a “guru” telling you that he/she will teach you how to earn $1,000-7,000 a week after buying his/her book or CD. That’s a scam– and no matter how tempting the email/video offer looks, do not buy it. You don’t have to pay someone to give you a job; it should be the other way around. Last year, more than 17,000 work-from-home  internet scams and spam  were reported to the Internet Crime Complaint Center, costing victims over $20 million in losses.

Facebook is initiating an advertising exchange that will let advertisers reach their target audience via the Facebook site.

Facebook Exchange will be a new revenue boosting measure for Facebook, one that is sure to parlay investor fears, to some extent; especially after the company’s turbulent Facebook IPO late last month.

Here’s how Facebook Exchange works: suppose you’re browsing a travel site to check flights to Heathrow but you don’t end up purchasing one.  The travel site can drop a cookie into your browser, and now, when you return to Facebook, you will be “retargeted” to see display ads for discounted tickets to London.

Rounds is a favorite Facebook video chat app. After about an estimated $5.5 million in funding from Verizon Investments, Rhodium, DFJ’s Tim Draper, and other investors, web users will soon be able to use Rounds without having to log into their Facebook accounts!

If you’re unfamiliar with Rounds, it has become popular for its interactive video chat functionality, which for example, allows you and a friend to watch YouTube together or play each other’s favorite games.

Wondering “Am I addicted to Facebook?” You could be, according to Norwegian researcher, Cecilie Schou Andreasson, who claims Facebook Addiction is a real threat.

Suffice it to say, addictions are rough! People can become addicted to many things: food, video games, the Internet, sex, and drugs, to name a few.  Some people are considered to have a clinical iPhone addiction and – believe it or not –there are even people who are addicted to love!

Norwegian researcher, Cecilie Schou Andreasson claims that there is a new type of addiction, a social networking addiction of sorts, also known as “Facebook Addiction.”
