image editing apps 12-30-2012

There are tons of image editing apps in the app market but which ones are good? If you’re looking to edit images on the go, try this apps list.

The cell phone camera has become more than a complimentary camera; today with enhanced megapixel quality, it’s ‘the’ camera.  Although digital cameras largely obsolete, most of us don’t want to post pictures straightaway. Usually there is some editing needed, e.g for adding text, adding effects, or removing blemishes, red eye and more. Even if you’ve taken a perfect photo, sometimes improving contrast or changing the picture to grey scale can give it that added touch. Having a few image editing apps installed on your phone will help you do it all  –on the go!

Picking an app from the app market can mean spending many hours on painstaking research. Don’t waste your time, or your money. Just check out the features in this list and pick the app that addresses your needs!

Calling friends is more fun than ever with Twiize, an app that lets you share photos, read updates, and check your friend’s recent activity while on a call.

There were times when people would write letters to friends and send them through snail mail. Then came the phone and people were able to call and have a chat. Eventually, texting made things even simpler and people began calling their friends more rarely. Ever since the Facebook era began, few people call their friends for updates. Phone calls have become outdated; the internet is a better way to connect and get information and updates on demand.

Gift suggestion takes the guesswork out of finding the perfect present. The Gift Professor algorithms and social psychology reinvents our approach to standard shopping.

Buzzdoes rewards you for spreading the word about your favorite apps. Recommend an app, earn reward points and turn them into cash or get free apps!

We all love to share. With the internet becoming increasingly more social, most of us surf the internet based on recommendations from those in our social networks. For instance, you sign in to Facebook and your wall is abound with recommendations, both sponsored and viral. We then return the favor by sharing and ‘liking’ things ourselves. Word-of-mouth marketing has always been powerful and today, with a marketplace awash in advertising, there’s little authentic influence aside from the voice of someone you know or trust. That’s why the modern consumer is comfortable seeking and giving advice on everything from movies to restaurants to childcare to entertainment and information sources through social –it’s our primary way to source vendors. I know for myself, I just list who/what I’m looking for as a status update. Unfortunately, we don’t get any monetary benefit from all our hard work –that is, until now.

Introducing Buzzdoes, an app that rewards you when you recommend an app and spread the word about your favorite apps.

Spotify, amongst many other interesting startups to have popped up over the last decade, reinvented the music industry; giving us access to whatever track we want –whenever and wherever we want it.

It all started with Napster, which let students exchange music collections without having to carry tapes or CDs. In short order, Napster revolutionized the world of music. Anyone with the Napster app could download music through peer-to-peer technology without having to pay a thing. Labels got worried and lawsuits ensued; the result was a Supreme Court against the company in favor of record labels. Napster evolved, however, not everyone was pleased. In fact, many argued that the company was a great service for music, promoting national artists internationally and helping people share music with each other (after all, it was for the common good!). Although the technology caused problems for recording studios with declining CD sales, it continued to benefit ‘music’ in more ways than one.

We don’t remember days, months, or years. We remember moments. And for when we don’t, there’s now an app for that. Instead of posting, sharing, or checking-in; what if you were reminded? Moments is an app that reminds you of the memories that are most important to you. With the Moments App, when you pass by places that you have been to, Moments sends you a push notification. You can then relive and share your special moment with the friends and family who were with you at the time.
