Contact lenses… encursted with Diamonds? Sounds freaky? Wel, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and now it can be in the eye of the… beheld.
Lose an iPhone? According to CNET, an Apple employee left behind yet ANOTHER unreleased iPhone 5 prototype in a bar. The iPhone, which went missing in San Francisco’s Mission district in late July, led Apple on a wild goose chase to recover the device.
Two chatbots, together, make for a party. A chatbot is a machine designed to emulate the conversational abilities of humans by conversing with a human user and generally attempting to convince the user into thinking that the machine itself is human.
Wonder what happens when you put two chatbots together? Cornell Creative Machines Lab was wondering the same; they apparently didn’t have much to do on a rainy Friday afternoon, so they figured it out. This is actually pretty amusing.
The new A3 aPen is the hottest new gadget for back to school. aPen is a digital pen that lets you digitize and record handwritten notes or photo skteches via wireless sync to your PC, Blackberry or Android phone using Bluetooth technology.
You know those inventions that you hear of, and the next second; about a billion different possible applications for the new technology flood your mind?
Well this is definitely one of those!
The team at Zebra Imaging has developed what they call “digital holographic prints”.
Need an assistance app? Siri is the best “personal assistant” application, able to assist you virtually with a wide array of plans such as making restaurant reservations, buying movie tickets, finding out what’s going on this weekend, and a whole bunch more.
Before we tell you more about Siri, let me first rejoice… we finally made it! This is the last of our much beloved “Best 30 Apps For…” series, and we hope you’re as sad to see it go as SheBytes is. The series has covered a variety of areas, in order to try and accommodate for a wide range of interests. We’ve done posts on apps for: Gaming, Photography, DJing, Sports, International Calling, Socializing and even Drinking!
SheBytes sincerely thanks you for keeping up to date with the apps and hopes you found them useful and were able to share the info with friends and family (scroll down to the end for the full list of 30)!
Without further ado, here we go:
Although I’m not exactly sure how practical this will be in the future, that doesn’t make it any less cool!
This nascent technology known as Skinput, a clever conjunction of the words “skin” and “input”, stays true to its name. Skinput allows people to press different parts of their bodies (on the skin), in order to control (transmit input to), their personal devices.
While using yourself as a remote is bound to bring about a huge number of “That’s what she said!” jokes, I think this technology may actually be very useful for people in certain situations…such as an iPod control for a motorcyclist.
