Two chatbots, together, make for a party. A chatbot is a machine designed to emulate the conversational abilities of humans by conversing with a human user and generally attempting to convince the user into thinking that the machine itself is human.

Wonder what happens when you put two chatbots together?  Cornell Creative Machines Lab was wondering the same; they apparently didn’t have much to do on a rainy Friday afternoon, so they figured it out.  This is actually pretty amusing.

Need an assistance app? Siri is the best “personal assistant” application, able to assist you virtually with a wide array of plans such as making restaurant reservations, buying movie tickets, finding out what’s going on this weekend, and a whole bunch more.

Although I’m not exactly sure how practical this will be in the future, that doesn’t make it any less cool!

This nascent technology known as Skinput, a clever conjunction of the words “skin” and “input”, stays true to its name. Skinput allows people to press different parts of their bodies (on the skin), in order to control (transmit input to), their personal devices.

While using yourself as a remote is bound to bring about a huge number of “That’s what she said!” jokes, I think this technology may actually be very useful for people in certain situations…such as an iPod control for a motorcyclist.

“Using up to 60% less electricity”: Winning!

When off it “uses no power whatsoever”: Winning x2!!

“Solar remote control”: Seems more gimmick than a, “saving the world one TV at a time”, idea…
