The progression of the Internet has led to various ethical and legal dilemmas previously unimaginable.

We’ve already covered the heated issue of typosquatting, the TechCrunch Michael Arrington controversy, as well as the relationship between politics and Twitter, here at SheBytes.

The way a company decides to represent itself becomes a vital part of who they are.

The image of the exterior the organization projects, must be a reflection of the company’s interior mission and will be crucial in times of hiring, expanding, sales, marketing and of course branding.

In one short week, Spotify has forever altered the way I listen to music on my computer.

For those of you who don’t know me personally, I LOVE music!

Now that was a gross understatement. I play guitar, bass guitar and I have a growing CD and Vinyl music collection (I just love physically owning the music I like). I listen to everything from Run-DMC to The Brian Jonestown Massacre. I like all genres; Jazz, Hip-Hop, Classic Rock, Indie, R&B, Alternative, Soul, Punk, Funk and well yeah, you get the idea.

SheBytes and Madison Technology were featured today on the homepage of Fox Business News in an article titled: Cloud à la Carte: 6 Ways to Order Off the Cloud.  In the article, I address the misconception that cloud computing is a one-size-fits-all service that’s more aptly suited to Fortune 500s with big IT budgets as compared to smaller shops with limited means. There are a smorgasbord of cloud options for businesses of any size and budget who want to capitalize on cloud services in their own unique way. Cloud doesn’t refer to one large umbrella service, it can be sliced up into smaller pieces to fit any business.

CoupTessa is a daily deal, coupon type site specifically for women (similar to Groupon).

But when we get beneath the surface, there’s much more to CoupTessa (a contraction of the word ‘coupon’ and the name ‘Tessa’) than meets the eye.

If data security frustrates you, you’re not alone! With mobile device usage and cloud adaptation on the rise, people are accessing more and more data on the fly.  And with so much sensitive information dispersed and accessed across the internet, security has never been a more critical subject. I was quoted on the subject in a recent article title Protecting Data Through BPM, authored on BusinessAgility.com by my friend Pierre DeBois, Founder of Zimana, a consulting company that specializes in digital marketing.
