Forbes has published its list of 100 Most Powerful Women for 2012, with Angela Merkel on top, recognizing the achievements and contributions of women from all around the world. The list, edited by editor Mary Ellen Egan, is based on economic impact and visibility of leading women around the globe and all walks of life.
The Facebook gaming platform is going through changes to compete with other platforms. Kabam, a major social gaming company, recently shared with VentureBeat that only 30% of its revenue is coming from Facebook. Similarly, many other leading Facebook game developers have migrated to other platforms, including iOS and Android, in the last six months or so. Some think Facebook is losing its grip while other think it’s just an evolution phase.
Instagram 3.0 is a free photo-sharing app for iPhone and Android phones. The new version of Instagram introduces a few new features such as Photo Maps. A college education is not required for successful entrepreneurship. Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal, created a college dropout entrepreneur fellowship, investing $100,000 into 24 young, talented students. The fellowship asked 24 young adults to quit college to pursue their passion.
