Will the launch of the iPhone 5 come in Fall of 2011? That’s the rumor!
It’s well known that Apple releases a new version of the iPhone every summer but with the release of the iPhone 4 on Verizon just a few months ago, it’s likely the device will be delayed until the Fall. Here’s why: Since the iPhone 5 is slated to be a 4G device, AT&T’s launch of its next-generation 4G LTE network (planned for mid-to-late 2011), offers a clue that an iPhone 5 launch in September is likely.
Last Wednesday, Apple reported a 95% surge in earnings for the March 2011 quarter, bolstered primarily by sales of the iPhone. The news drove Apple shares up to $350 each, making me painfully regret not buying AAPL in March 2009 when it was trading at a mere $85 per share.
