Thanks to TV/media, and amongst other things, a new app from NBC, over 2.5 billion people – more than one third of the world’s population – are expected to watch Prince William marry Kate Middleton on Friday.  To give you some perspective, approximately 750 million viewers watched when Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer some 30 years earier.  At the time, it was the most-watched live event in television history.

NBC’s app will help you stay connected by combining a number of features, including:

- Interactive map
- 40 NBC news royal reports
- Latest news and content
- Interactive royal family tree
- Ideas for hosting your own royal wedding ‘watch party’ <– lol
- And, in case you want exclusive royal wedding memorabilia, a virtual store

You can watch live streaming of the wedding this Friday on the official YouTube channel of the British Monarchy: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheRoyalChannel
